Safeguarding Policy
At Moray Training Club, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for every member of "The Pack," with a specific focus on the protection of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
1. Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to all staff, coaches, volunteers, and members of the club, specifically governing our youth-focused programs:
- CrossFit Kids and Teen Strength sessions.
- After School WODs.
- Mums & Tots sessions where children are present in the hangar.
2. Our Commitment
The welfare of the child or vulnerable adult is paramount. We ensure safety through:
- Qualified Coaching: All coaches leading youth sessions are trained to work with children.
- Safe Environment: Our new hangar facility is maintained to high safety standards.
- Zero Tolerance: Zero tolerance for bullying or harassment.
3. Supervision and Ratios
Youth Academy: Coaches maintain strict supervision ratios to ensure safety.
Mums & Tots: Parents/guardians remain responsible for their children's safety and conduct during these sessions.
4. Recruitment and Training
Vetting: All staff and coaches working with under-18s are required to undergo background checks (PVG in Scotland).
5. Reporting Procedures
If any member of the Pack has a concern regarding the safety or wellbeing of a child or vulnerable person:
Speak directly to the Head Coach or the designated Safeguarding Lead. All reports are handled with the strictest confidence.
6. Use of Imagery
Photos of children in CrossFit Kids or After School WODs are only captured with explicit parental consent. We avoid using identifying information on public platforms.
